LOOKING FOR A WAY TO EFFECTIVELY AND EASILY INTEGRATE SOCIAL STUDIES, SAVE TIME AND INCREASE THE INTEREST OF YOUR STUDENTS?
This curriculum contains fifteen hands-on lessons including topics such as:
- Native American economies
- the resources of the Pilgrims and the role of trade
- the Virginia Company as an investment
- comparison of the New England, Middle, and Southern colonies
- colonial money
- a study of the economic opportunities of women, slaves, artisans, farmers, and large landowners in colonial times.
Many of the lessons are based on children’s literature. All lessons include handouts and activities such as games or simulations.
The workshop and curriculum are free.
