FINANCIAL FITNESS FOR LIFE: POCKET POWER!
GRADES K-2

 

The award-winning Financial Fitness for Life curriculum also includes the youngest students. The FFFL curriculum is correlated with standards in language arts, mathematics, economics and personal finance. This curriculum has 16 lessons, including background information, preparation materials, student activities, and assessments. All lessons are based on active learning and an illustrated storybook highlights topics in each lesson.

Students will learn:

     Why education pays

     Why saving makes us wait but provides more opportunity

     How advertising affects spending

     What is credit

     How to manage money

There is an opportunity to assign homework that must be completed with the help of parents, using the accompanying Parent Guide.

The workshop is free; participants will receive a Teacher’s Guide, a Student Storybook, a Parents’ Guide, and a CD-Rom. NO BACKGROUND IN ECONOMICS IS REQUIRED.
