GEOGRAPHY: FOCUS ON ECONOMICS
Grades 9-12

Two geographical perspectives – spatial and ecological – give students an understanding of patterns, processes, and the interrelationships of living and nonliving elements.

The 12 lessons in this curriculum are organized around 4 themes: economic and geographical perspectives; geography and international trade; analysis of geographic and economic information; and application of economic and geographic perspectives.

The curriculum is very flexible and is activity-based so students learn with a “concepts by doing” approach. Workshop and curriculum materials are free. NO ECONOMICS BACKGROUND IS NEEDED. Qualifies for 3 hours of SACS/professional development credit. Enrollment limited to 20.
