Welcome to the Center for Economic Education at the University
of Memphis. The CEE is affiliated with the National Council on
Economic Education. We provide a number of services and direct
support for K-12 teachers and administrators who recognize the
importance of integrating economic and financial education into
the existing curriculum.
All curriculum materials provided by the CEE are correlated with
standards in other disciplines, such as science, mathematics,
language arts, geography, history, civics and government, personal
finance, and, of course, economics. All
materials involve students in activity-based learning.
The CEE provides workshops for K-12 teachers who want to incorporate
economics and finance education into their classrooms. No background
in economics is ever required for these integration workshops.
Integrating economics and finance education increases students’
analytical ability, test scores on standardized tests, and their
level of interest as curriculum materials use real-world applications.

and financial education, click here (economic
statistics).
If you would like to receive email notification of workshops
that might be of interest to you, fill out the information at
Mailing List and you will receive automatic
notification of workshops for your grade level.
All workshops are presented free of charge and all materials
are provided. This is made possible by generous corporate
donations.
CEE activities are sponsored by
and other contributors.
